We provide title work for the associations, American Land Title Association (ALTA) and American Congress of Survey and Mapping (ACSM). In Oregon, as in many states, when commercial property trades hands or is refinanced, a title survey is required.
Title surveys show where all of the easements listed in the title report are on a map. It shows any encroachments.
Easement and/or encroachment defects in the title report or in the property can be useful to the title company to make decisions and advise their buyers. We work with attorneys and title companies to ensure the interest of the property owner and the public are being served.
